<p><strong>Tesla Inc.</strong> (NASDAQ:TSLA) and <strong>SpaceX</strong> CEO <strong>Elon Musk</strong>, on Tuesday, reaffirmed his belief that AI efforts undertaken by his enterprises will exceed rivals.</p><h2>Elon Musk Has Taken On Entire Industries</h2><p>In a post on the social media platform X, user <strong>Robert Scoble</strong> shared his take on the current AI race in the tech sector amid <strong>Nvidia Corp.</strong>‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) GTC 2026 conference. “Everyone else in AI is at GTC,” he said, alluding to the event’s scale and importance in the sector.</p><p>“If SpaceX beats everyone in this industry that will be quite something,” he said, adding that Musk, on previous occasions, “took on entire industries” and “innovated” in fields they couldn’t.</p><figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div><blockquote><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Everyone else in AI is at GTC.<br/><br/>If SpaceX beats everyone in this industry that will be quite something.<br/><br/>But then I remember when he took on entire industries a few times before and innovated where they couldn't.<br/><br/>So can't write off his statements at all. https://t.co/eNcg0zSyqD</p>— Robert Scoble (@Scobleizer) March 16, 2026</blockquote></div></figure><h2>Elon Musk Hails SpaceX, xAI</h2><p>Responding to Scoble, Musk shared his views on the take by quoting a post he had previously made, where he outlined that xAI will have three separate Grok models in training simultaneously. “While others go to conferences, we study the blade,” he said, in an apparent jibe at Nvidia and other rivals.</p><figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div><blockquote><p lang="en" dir="ltr">While others go to conferences, we study the blade https://t.co/HSlKetMPog</p>— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 17, 2026</blockquote></div></figure><h2>Bullish On SpaceX, Terafab Efforts</h2><p>These comments come as Musk had earlier said that SpaceX would &#34;far exceed&#34; rivals in AI, including <strong>Alphabet Inc.</strong>‘s (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google DeepMind. This comes despite a series of high-profile departures from his artificial intelligence startup xAI.</p><p>Meanwhile, Musk also hailed Tesla’s AI chip efforts, sharing that the EV giant would be kicking off its Terafab AI chip project shortly. The project is aimed at helping Tesla design its updated self-driving chip. Tesla has also hired AI chip designers in South Korea to build AI chips.</p><h2>Nvidia’s GTC Conference</h2><p>Chipmaker Nvidia shared a roadmap for the company’s AI efforts at the GPU Technology Conference, revealing that Tesla’s Chinese rivals <strong>BYD Co.
