USCIS: FY 2027 H-1B Work Visa Applications Reach Statutory Cap
On March 1st, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that the number of registrations received by the agency for the H-1B work visa from corporations has reached the statutory cap for fiscal year 2027.
The lottery process for the specialty occupation visa in March of this year is the first conducted under the new regulations from the Trump administration. This new regulation adjusts the probability of selection, tilting it towards foreign employees with deeper qualifications and higher salaries in their fields.
