It represents the first large-scale solar-plus-storage integration of its kind in the country and one of the first in the Western Balkans at 30 MW / 60 MWh scale. It is a technically advanced system designed to enhance grid flexibility, improve renewable integration, and support overall system stability in the region. The project reflects our capability to engineer and deliver high-quality hybrid energy solutions in emerging and dynamic markets.</p><p>Looking ahead, our focus is on scaling our presence across utility-scale standalone BESS and hybrid solar-plus-storage applications. Rather than emphasizing specific capacity figures, our strategy is centered on sustainable, high-quality growth and long-term regional portfolio expansion.</p><p>It is also important to note that our parent company, Topkapı Endüstri, already manages an energy systems portfolio exceeding 1 GWh in active operations on the Jenbacher gas engine side. With YESS Power as our dedicated energy storage brand, we aim to build a similarly strong and impactful position in the energy storage sector, aligning with our broader vision of becoming a comprehensive and integrated energy solutions provider.</p><h4>What were the main challenges when implementing the large-scale BESS project in North Macedonia?</h4><p>As with many emerging storage markets, regulatory and permitting frameworks are still evolving.
