China will add three new Singapore Depository Receipts (SDR) linked to Hong Kong-listed companies, namely Geely Automobile, Kuaishou, and UBTECH.
The Singapore Exchange announced on Friday (April 17) that the new depository receipts will provide investors with more opportunities to access structural growth themes, covering electric vehicles, digital platforms, and artificial intelligence.
Geely Automobile is a Chinese automobile manufacturer that has entered the electric vehicle sector. Kuaishou is one of China's largest short video platforms. UBTECH is a company engaged in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of humanoid robots.
As of Friday, Geely Automobile's stock price has risen by 35.82% this year, while Kuaishou and UBTECH have declined by approximately 27% and 13%, respectively.
With the addition of these depository receipts, Singapore now offers a total of 35 depository receipts for investment, covering companies listed in Hong Kong, Thailand, and Indonesia.

The Singapore Exchange pointed out that the average daily trading volume of depositary receipts has increased to 13 million yuan in the first quarter of this year, with retail investor participation reaching a historic high. At the same time, the asset management scale has grown by 268% year-on-year to over 250 million yuan, with retail investors holding more than 80% of the positions.
&#34;This growth trend reflects that investors are widely shifting towards more targeted and thematic areas, quickly responding to changes in the global market.&#34;
The Singapore Exchange also stated that Chinese technology stocks account for over 60% of the average daily trading volume and more than 80% of the net inflow from retail investors in the first quarter of this year.
&#34;Investors continue to increase their holdings in industry giants such as Tencent, Alibaba, Xiaomi, and SMIC during price corrections, reflecting that despite short-term volatility, confidence in AI-driven and platform-based business models remains strong.&#34;
