Ministry of Emergency Management: Strengthen Fire Hazard Inspections in High-Rise Buildings and Other Crowded Areas

The Ministry of Emergency Management convened a Party Committee Meeting and a Departmental Affairs Meeting. The meeting emphasized strengthening fire hazard inspections in crowded areas including high-rise buildings, restaurants and hotels, commercial gathering zones, and mixed-operation venues with multiple business formats, while promoting enhanced on-site safety management for sports events to strictly prevent accidents. It will solidly advance special campaigns targeting illegal operations in key industries, as well as specialized work on external insulation materials and grease pipeline safety. Enterprises are urged to strengthen safety training and on-site management, and strictly enforce safety regulations for special operations such as inspection and maintenance, hot work, and confined space entry.
