UBS research report indicates that Nio (09863.HK) has recently underperformed the market, mainly due to investors' concerns about the order situation of its new model D19. Since the stock had accumulated a certain increase in early April, some investors chose to take profits.

The report mentions that D19, as the first large SUV of its high-end D platform, is priced between RMB 220,000 and RMB 270,000. Currently, the main sales of this model come from the RMB 240,000 six-seat "Supreme Extended Range Version," but it has not shown significant differentiation amid strong competition from other companies' models. Additionally, with over a hundred new cars to be launched at the Beijing Auto Show, consumers may adopt a wait-and-see attitude; the firm expects orders to grow steadily.

UBS stated that the stock price fluctuations after the D19 release are in line with expectations, maintaining the assumption of 100,000 vehicle contributions from this year's D platform models. The rating for Nio remains "Neutral," with a target price of HKD 50
