CATL's Trudy Dai: Kirin Condensed-State Battery Completely Solves Safety Issues
On the evening of April 21, CATL held its 2026 'Super Technology Day' launch event. At the event, CATL's Chief Technology Officer Trudy Dai stated that sedans equipped with the Kirin condensed-state battery can achieve a range exceeding 1500 kilometers, while the battery pack weight remains controlled within 650 kilograms. Regarding safety, no compromises will be made; the Kirin condensed-state battery upgrades liquid electrolytes to condensed-state electrolytes, completely solving safety issues. Trudy Dai summarized, "The Kirin battery is the only optimal solution for high-end pure electric vehicles. Without Kirin, there is no premium."
