April 21 (Reuters) - Retail veteran Andy Higginson will step down as the chairman of British sportswear retailer JD Sports Fashion (JD.L) , Sky News reported on Tuesday.
An announcement regarding the exit could be made imminently, the report said, adding there had been no indication that Higginson was preparing to leave the firm.
JD declined to comment on the report.
Higginson, who joined the firm in 2022, had previously served as chair of supermarket group Morrisons and also held senior roles at supermarket chain Tesco.
