
RoK backs sesame farming development project in Việt Nam

The Korea Rural Community Corporation (KRC) announced a collaboration with the Korean Ministry of Agriculture to develop the sesame value chain in Vietnam, focusing on Nghệ An and Đồng Tháp provinces. The project, launched on May 8 with an investment of 6.7 billion KRW (approximately US$4.8 million) through 2027, aims to enhance sesame productivity and quality, improve processing technology, and increase farmers' incomes. It includes building processing centers, developing seed production facilities, and training local farmers with advanced farming techniques, contributing to sustainable agricultural development and food security between the two countries.
