On May 22, after the Hong Kong stock market closed, the Hang Seng Index Company announced the quarterly review results of the Hang Seng Index series (as of March 31, 2026). All changes will be implemented after the market closes on June 5, 2026, and will officially take effect from June 8.
This adjustment involves the Hang Seng Index, Hang Seng Tech Index, Hang Seng China Enterprises Index, Hang Seng Biotechnology Index, and Hang Seng Composite Index, among others. Notably, the Hang Seng Tech Index will include domestic AI large model leaders (MINIMAX and Zhipu), making it the highlight of this quarterly review that has attracted the most market attention.
The Hang Seng Index will include J&amp;T Express, Aluminum Corporation of China, and BEONE MEDICINES, increasing the number of constituent stocks to 93. The Hang Seng Biotechnology Index will include Insilico Medicine and exclude Genting Biologics, maintaining the number of constituent stocks at 30.
