<p>Ukrainian President <strong>Volodymyr Zelenskyy</strong> warned that limited U.S. production of anti-ballistic missiles could leave Ukraine, the Middle East and other American partners exposed to widening security crises as Russia accelerates its missile output.</p>



<h2><strong>Zelenskyy Warns Of Global Missile Shortage</strong></h2>



<p>&#34;There is not enough anti-ballistic missile production in the United States and this could lead to a crisis in different parts of the world,&#34; Zelenskyy wrote Sunday on X after appearing on CBS' &#34;Face the Nation with Margaret Brennan.&#34; &#34;Russia is ramping up its internal production of ballistic missiles. I sent a letter to the White House and to the U.S. Congress. I hope they will understand and respond.&#34;</p>



<p>Zelenskyy said U.S. production of 60 to 65 anti-ballistic missiles per month was inadequate given current threats. He said Ukraine had asked President Donald Trump's administration for licenses to manufacture Patriot missiles locally, arguing that expanded production would help Ukraine, the Middle East and other countries Washington chooses to support.</p>

<p>&#34;Until we produce a European anti-ballistic system, we will need support from the United States,&#34; Zelenskyy wrote.</p>

<h2><strong>Ukraine Seeks Patriot Production Licenses</strong></h2>



<p>The appeal followed a letter Zelenskyy sent last week to Trump warning of Ukraine's worsening shortage of air defense systems, particularly anti-ballistic missile capabilities, the Kyiv Independent reported. The letter came as Russia intensified mass aerial attacks and threatened new long-range strikes on Kyiv, including what Moscow calls &#34;decision-making centers.&#34;</p>



<p>Russian Foreign Minister <strong>Sergey Lavrov</strong> told Secretary of State <strong>Marco Rubio</strong> on May 25 that Moscow planned strikes on Ukrainian &#34;decision-making centers&#34; and urged Washington to evacuate the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.</p>



<h2><strong>Defense Firms Face Production Questions</strong></h2>



<p>The production debate could affect several U.S. defense contractors. <strong>Lockheed Martin Corporation</strong> (NYSE:LMT) makes PAC-3 MSE interceptors for Patriot systems, while <strong>RTX Corporation’s</strong> (NYSE:RTX) Raytheon makes Patriot GEM-T missiles and system components. <strong>Boeing Co</strong> (NYSE:BA) supplies PAC-3 seekers. <strong>Northrop Grumman Corporation</strong> (NYSE:NOC) supports broader U.S. missile defense systems, including Ground-Based Midcourse Defense.</p>
