Joe Lubin says Ethereum Foundation cuts and departures are not a crisis
Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin said the Ethereum Foundation’s recent budget cuts, staff departures and restructuring are a necessary evolution, not a crisis. According to CoinDesk, the Consensys CEO argued the foundation should narrow its role to stewarding Ethereum’s core technology and values and remain “credibly neutral,” while other organizations handle adoption, institutional engagement and commercialization. Lubin also said Ethereum is “not on the decline” and pointed to AI-driven “agentic commerce” and growing institutional use as potential drivers of the next wave of growth.
