Expedia’s Fall Travel Outlook Reveals Shoulder Season Pricing is Harder to Find This Year, But Travelers Can Still Save on Select Getaways
Expedia's recent Fall Travel Outlook report reveals that travelers could face challenges in securing seasonal discounts this year. The study indicates that there has been a notable increase in prices for fall travel compared to the summer season, particularly in the top 10 U.S. destinations. On average, lodging rates in these destinations are up by 20%, while flight prices have seen a 2% rise. This shift suggests that the traditional savings associated with the shoulder season are becoming scarcer in popular travel spots. However, amid this trend, Expedia® has identified six destinations that still offer opportunities for affordable travel.
