In February 2025, I went to Hong Kong to open a bank account and officially joined Longbridge.
In April 2025, I bottom-fished $Tesla(TSLA.US)$Taiwan Semiconductor(TSM.US)$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)
At that time, I didn't know about options trading. Later, I saw people in the comments section showing off their options gains and got very curious. So I did some research. The first person I followed was @Value & Investment. I learned about long calls, and the NVIDIA and TSMC calls from 250918 were both closed in August. My total profit for 2025 was 220K, with a principal of only 50K.
The nightmare began in March 2026. I traded 50 or 60 QQQ zero-day-to-expiration (0DTE) options, with some wins and losses, and finally my 50K principal got wiped out.
In April, I put in another 100K, wiped out.
In May, I put in another 100K, wiped out.
On June 1st, I put in 100K, and today it's wiped out….
Coinciding with the June 12th delisting, whether it's using a VPN or being physically abroad, it doesn't matter anymore. I'm never playing U.S. stocks again. I don't even have the patience to hold regular stocks. From now on, I won't even DCA into the Nasdaq. The lesson has been learned well enough.
I'm 28 this year, my son is one and a half. Right now, watching him lying next to me, his little foot resting on my stomach... yeah, I'm done. With this post, I want to advise everyone playing U.S. stocks:
If, if you see someone in the comments showing off their 0DTE options gains, block them immediately!!! Block them immediately!!! As long as you don't see it, you won't think you're the chosen one.
June 5, 2026, Black Friday. Trading calls and puts in turns, always in the wrong direction. A nightmare I don't want to relive. A forced, deliberate break.
All the best.

I won't uninstall Longbridge either. The community is quite well done. Futu, ZunJia, Huasheng Tong, uninstalled.
Bank of China (Hong Kong), ZhongAn, HSBC still have some funds. A few thousand dollars. Future focus will be entirely on the A-share account, statically trading ETFs. Trying to increase positions in Nasdaq and S&P, the downside is that the QDII premium is too high.$SPDR S&P 500(SPY.US)$Tesla(TSLA.US)$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)$Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US)
From the internet: Starting from June 12th
L Tiger Securities will stop existing users in China from opening new positions or adding to positions.

Simple summary:
1. Money can't be transferred out: The personal foreign exchange quota in mainland China can only be used for travel, studying abroad, etc. You cannot write "stock investment"; if you do, the transfer will be blocked.
2. Money can't be used to buy even after arriving in h: For money transferred from the mainland, banks in h will require you to sign a declaration stating "the source of funds is not from mainland China." If you can't provide this, your investment account will be frozen.
3. Illegal: Directly buying overseas stocks as an individual within China is itself an illegal cross-border securities transaction. This is the reason why Futu, Tiger, etc., were fined.
4. Taxation: Profits from overseas stock trading must be declared and taxes paid to the cn tax authorities. Failure to do so is tax evasion. CRS automatically exchanges information, so it can be traced.
5. Extremely high risk: Your bank accounts (e.g., ZhongAn, Bank of China Hong Kong) could be frozen, and you won't be able to withdraw the money.
Final recommendation: Completely give up on Hong Kong and US stock options, and only implement the A-share ETF momentum strategy. Keep those few hundred Hong Kong dollars for your next trip to Hong Kong, don't bother with it.
Just spend it all next time. Use it when you travel to h.

Tidying up, organizing some scattered funds, and then putting them in the bank. Saying goodbye to Hong Kong and US stocks.
There's still a little money left. Planning to transfer it out to ZA Bank.
Bought Didi on Valuable to prevent freezing, -37%....! Speechless.
Zunjia seems to have some too. Transfer it all out to ZA Bank tomorrow or next week! HSBC still has a few hundred HKD, ZA Bank has some HKD, and BOC has some too. Recently, after summarizing, it seems that buying through banks isn't against the rules, but I haven't tried it. Anyway, I don't have that plan for now.
To avoid unnecessary trouble, US stock options are also an indelible memory for me. In the future, I'll use Nasdaq ETFs or S&P 500 ETFs for US stock investment; options are like a fleeting dream. For Hong Kong stocks, I'll use Stock Connect (for Hong Kong), but that's for later. Currently, A-shares are still mainly focused on ETFs.

26.5.12 Farewell to Hong Kong and US Stocks for Now
Just a quick write-up. After opening a Hong Kong bank card in late October 2023, I signed up for Futu NiuNiu. At first, I didn't fully understand margin trading for Hong Kong stock IPOs and used 10x leverage, directly losing over 10,000 yuan, lol. Later, I bought Tencent and shorted Pop Mart for a while. Then, I accidentally bought 1 Apple option contract; that one option seemed to make over $300, and then... then the demon's door was opened.
What I traded the most before were Tesla, SPY, and NVIDIA. Lost tens of thousands on Futu NiuNiu. Heard Longbridge had low commissions and perks, so also opened Huashengtong for a few hundred yuan in perks. Huashengtong also traded options, slightly cheaper than Longbridge. Also ended in failure. Lost over 100,000 yuan here.
Then there's Zunjia. The commissions are really low, but the lack of real-time market data makes it inconvenient to use alongside Longbridge for checking quotes. Also deposited 50k in Longbridge for Hong Kong IPO subscriptions, which was also useless. Here, I touched meme stocks. How to choose? There's a real-time ranking list, but making money in a one-sided trend, stubbornly holding through an 'A' pattern decline. 50k quickly dwindled to less than 20k, and finally, the funds were transferred to Zunjia. In the middle, gambling on Oracle's earnings report with one option contract made a huge profit of 17k, feeling triumphant, but most earnings reports bets end up zero, didn't persist with betting on reports. That was 2026. For a period, only traded regular stocks. Longbridge allowed margin trading, but it was neither here nor there because the whole market had no real movement before April arrived, Nasdaq was sluggish! So continued with weekly options, went from 20k down to a maximum loss of 6700 yuan, then the market rebounded and got to 13000. At this point, I was overconfident, then lost down to 2400 yuan in 3 days. This was around May. Withdrew 4000 HKD, then gradually another 2000 HKD. Finally left with 6000 HKD and 450 yuan. Huashengtong, HSBC, Bank of China, and ZhongAn also had a few hundred HKD. Futu had no money and got frozen.
Losses from start to now are due to two reasons:
1. No stop-loss, averaging down to fight against adding positions.
2. Heavy positions, also caused by reason 1. Could also be wanting to break even and going all-in directly.
Because trading weekly options involves too much gambling, creating huge conflicts with work and life, so not planning to deposit more money, just bidding farewell to this game for now.
I've always been a right-side trader, but weekly options require speed and extreme rationality. Over the years, there have been brief periods of not playing weeklies, but relapses in between. The core is still position sizing. Whoever has heavy positions has big emotional swings, and when emotions run high, one is easily controlled.
Maybe one day I'll come back, to the US stock market to spread my bets. Wait until I have time. Thanks to my 616 followers, wishing your stocks soar! 🎉

Bro Z's Trading Notes · Day 8 of May (Thursday)
Account Status
· Starting point yesterday: ~¥662
· Ending point today: ~¥569
· Single-day drawdown: ~¥93 (~-14%)
Today's Main Trades
1. 710 Call (two trades): Bought at 0.40, sold at 0.45, small profit; then bought at 0.40 again, sold at 0.30, small loss. The two trades basically broke even.
2. 697 Put: Bought 1 contract at 0.40, sold at 0.20, loss of ~$20 (~¥140). This was the biggest loss today due to a wrong directional call.
3. 6 trades in total for the day, all with extremely light positions (could only buy 1 contract priced at 0.3-0.4), total loss around a dozen dollars.
Correct Actions
· Forced into extremely light positions, no chance to chase highs with heavy positions or revenge-add.
· Closed the 697 Put position at 0.20, didn't hold until zero.
· Account is extremely low, but didn't have an emotional breakdown, didn't add more funds.
Mistakes
· Wrong directional call on the 697 Put, failed short chase.
· Made 6 frequent trades during the session, still had unnecessary trades.
Today's Lessons
1. Having little money is actually protection. With only ¥569, I could only buy 1 contract priced below 0.4, forced to be light, no chance to repeat the previous halving mistake.
2. More stable mindset under extremely light positions. A loss of a dozen dollars is completely manageable compared to your previous losses of hundreds of dollars.
3. Not adding money is the bottom line. The account dropped from 1300 to 569. Adding funds now would only amplify the losses.
Current Total Assets
Account ¥569 + Withdrawn HKD 6000 (~¥5280) ≈ ¥5849. Still higher than the lowest point of ¥2400. The bulk of the profit is preserved.
Improvements for Tomorrow
1. Continue not adding money. Use the ¥569 to practice extreme light position discipline.
2. Continue reducing trading frequency.
3. Focus on work, A-shares, and sleep.
This was your calmest night in a desperate situation. No major loss, no loss of control, no staying up until 3 a.m.

· 675 Put, bought at 0.37, stopped loss at 0.33/0.30, -$11 ✅Moving average stop loss
· Multiple late-night 683 and closing 681 Call swing trades, netting +$19 after offsetting losses
Correct Actions:
✅ Sold half at 20% floating profit (multiple times)
✅ Actively stopped loss 3 times (ZunJia unconditional orders, all manually canceled and sold!)
✅ Refused to average down on losses (countless urges, resisted countless times! Tonight's biggest victory)
Mistakes:
❌ 40 transactions, energy exhausted! Late-night decisions were driven by dopamine
❌ No stop loss: 683 Call should have been stopped at 0.53, didn't exit at break-even 0.67, held until 0.39
❌ Rounding-up mentality: Saw account at 1997, wanted to reach 2000, opened unplanned trades
❌ Late-night revenge trading: After stopping loss, couldn't accept it, immediately opened new positions to recoup losses
❌ Averaged down once with small position (added 1 contract at 0.49), yellow card warning
Today's Lessons:
1. Trading duration is a higher-dimensional risk control than taking profits and stopping losses. All mistakes happened after 11 PM. When the brain is tired, discipline is non-existent. Start enforcing discipline at 11:30, prepare to close out, don't be greedy.
The first 3 trades caught the one-sided rally, then it was all downhill.
2. Not averaging down is my bottom line, and I held it tonight. Didn't get a perfect score on stopping losses, but aced the big question of not averaging down on losses. The muscle memory forged from losing hundreds of thousands is starting to work.
3. The account is most dangerous when hitting new highs. After making $71 on the first two trades, overconfidence set in, and the rounding-up mentality crept in. From now on, rest immediately after making a profit.
Tomorrow's Improvements:
1. Set hard limits: Max 3 trades per day, watch the market for no more than 3 hours. Close positions and shut down the software when time's up.
2. Force a 30-minute break after hitting a new profit high, no consecutive position openings.
3. When "getting carried away" or "rounding-up" mentality appears, immediately close positions and leave the market, circuit breaker for one hour.
4. Zero tolerance for averaging down on losses, not even once.

26.5.5, 20.55, written before the market opens.
Withdrew 1000 HKD today. That's all for now. Very few trading options left. Two options below 0.7. After buying, set a take-profit order for 1 contract at 1.2×0.7=0.84. Then set another take-profit order at 0.7×1.3=0.91. Then comes the test of mentality. Because Zunjia doesn't have stop-loss conditional orders, when it reaches 0.7×0.8=0.56, I need to manually stop the loss.
