I went on a trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Grand Loop at the end of June, so updates are slower.

This month, I traded some TQQQ options, then sold some QQQM, and bought some TQQQ (at a point where QQQ had fallen about 5% from its high).

Volatility has been quite high recently, and I always feel it might continue to fall, at which point I'll continue swapping QQQM for TQQQ.

In June, my return was 0.43% (Note: monthly returns calculated at month-end exchange rate, RMB), the QQQM return was -0.21% (USD), and the USD/CNH return was 0.4%

I'm about to graduate from university. I've been busy with paperwork and handling some rental matters recently, so I've been putting off updating until now.

This month, as usual, I'm fully invested in QQQM, and I've been rolling some sold PUTs, using the premiums to buy TQQQ. I'll continue to wait for a big drop to sell QQQM and buy TQQQ. I don't know when the next big drop will be, but I'm always fully invested, always moved to tears🌚

I'll soon start working and earning money, so I need to increase my investment efforts! I didn't have much money in the previous years, so I just treated it as gaining experience.

I won't wish everyone a happy Labor Day; instead, I wish you all an early escape from the laborer status.

This month was a breakout month. My account gained 15.31% in April, with a year-to-date return of 10.27%. Clearly, the account returns have hit new highs again and again. Calculated from 2025.1.1, the total return has reached 42.17%, with an overall annualized return of 31.74%. I'll continue to lie flat and keep making money 💪. The general strategy is being fully invested in $Invesco Nasdaq 100 ETF(QQQM.US) and selling some TQQQ PUT options.

Note: The above returns are calculated in RMB, factoring in the depreciation of the US dollar. It would be even higher if calculated in USD. However, since I mainly live in China, I've been accounting for the exchange rate situation 🤔.

This month, I cleared my positions in $Amazon(AMZN.US) and $Microsoft(MSFT.US). After observing carefully for a few days, I noticed that the Nasdaq Index was consistently in the middle of the "Magnificent 7" during almost every daily fluctuation. This felt very reassuring, and the value was high enough. So, I cleared Microsoft and Amazon. In the future, I'll just invest in the Nasdaq Index, and occasionally sell some puts on TQQQ. That way, there's a 99.99% probability of outperforming the Nasdaq. Actually, I realized long ago that to outperform something, you should just invest directly in it. Because if I invest randomly, I probably won't beat the Nasdaq anyway 😅. However, my investments in Microsoft and Amazon in March did outperform the Nasdaq overall. I can't call it skill because my Microsoft position underperformed; it was just that Amazon outperformed by a larger margin (and I sold it just before a big drop). It was just luck~ From now on, I'll focus steadily on life. Investing doesn't require much effort.

Considering $Microsoft(MSFT.US) has a high cost-performance ratio and is the only one among the seven giants that has fallen sharply, today I sold 1/12 of $Invesco Nasdaq 100 ETF(QQQM.US) at a price of 252.095 and bought Microsoft at a price of 409.99 (the above is only a personal investment record)

In October, I bought some $T-REX 2X Long MSTR Daily Target ETF(MSTU.US) and lost big time. Later, I cut my losses at over 60%. I won’t touch these things anymore—just stick to steady index investing. I don’t want to mess with anything else (✋･_･). If it weren’t for MSTU, my monthly return could’ve been positive… Currently, my YTD return is 30.56%. Due to limited capital, selling PUTs isn’t very flexible. I’ll try more options when I have more funds. So this month, I came up with a new strategy: when QQQ drops 5%, 10%...40% from its peak, I’ll sell portions of $Invesco QQQ Trust(QQQ.US) and $iShares US Tech(IYW.US), then add to $Proshares UltraPro QQQ(TQQQ.US) and $Direxion Tech Bull 3X(TECL.US). I’ll clear leveraged ETFs when QQQ’s PE hits 35+. One more thing: when I buy leveraged ETFs, I’ll re-enter only after QQQ drops 5% from a new high, provided the initial buy was at a 10% drop from the previous high. This ensures I only buy leveraged ETFs once near each of the 5%, 10%...40% drop points. Otherwise, it’d be chaotic. Of course, this strategy still feels imperfect and needs more thought.

This involves a reference point—why QQQ’s drop? Because leveraged ETFs have decay (though I don’t care much), and their underlying is these index ETFs. Using QQQ as a reference helps time leveraged ETF trades better.

In October, I made some small moves by buying $T-REX 2X Long MSTR Daily Target ETF(MSTU.US) in batches with margin. I didn't want to sell the index, so I just used margin. MSTU and BTC spot investments currently account for 10% of my total investment cost. I don't plan to buy more in the future and will consider selling MSTU when it rises. I intend to hold BTC spot for as long as possible, ideally for a decade or even longer (small investment).

It's worth mentioning that the Nasdaq P/E ratio is now over 35. According to my strategy, I should liquidate $Proshares UltraPro QQQ(TQQQ.US) and stop investing. However, I didn't buy more when TQQQ was at 95 because it seemed expensive. Going forward, I'll stick to the strategy—I missed out on a lot of gains. The strike price of the puts I sold has gradually increased to 85, hoping to get assigned. Of course, if TQQQ continues to hit new highs, I'll keep raising the strike price of the puts I sell. Eventually, I'll get assigned and buy TQQQ🤓.

To summarize, I'm currently fully invested in $iShares US Tech(IYW.US) and $Invesco Nasdaq 100 ETF(QQQM.US). The rest are just small bets for fun.

The major change was liquidating leveraged ETFs in early September and going all-in on index funds, approximately 45% $Invesco Nasdaq 100 ETF(QQQM.US) and 55% $iShares US Tech(IYW.US). I'm optimistic about the stock market, but with the current Nasdaq P/E at 34.83, it's a bit high, so I cleared leveraged ETFs after going all-in. The follow-up strategy is to wait for a major correction. If $Proshares UltraPro QQQ(TQQQ.US) drops by 30%, I'll sell QQQM and switch to TQQQ; if it drops by 60%, I'll sell IYW and switch to $Direxion Tech Bull 3X(TECL.US).

I'm very bullish on tech, but IYW doesn't include $Tesla(TSLA.US) or $Amazon(AMZN.US), so I use QQQM to compensate, roughly balancing Nasdaq and tech equally.

The options in the chart mainly involve selling some low-priced TQQQ puts.

This month was as turbulent as I thought last month, but I was surprised to lose so little 😆

The major change was that I switched from Nasdaq ETF to Tech ETF in the middle of the month, due to my optimism about technology. However, the holding experience is still not as reassuring as Nasdaq. I will switch back to Nasdaq when there is a chance for new highs in the future.

I am still doing weekly investments in triple-leveraged ETFs.
