Last April, not long after I started buying US stocks, my position was very small, but my risk tolerance was terrible. I bought 30 shares of Google at 180, and when it dropped to 140, I stopped the loss. Intel fell from over 20 to 14, and I stopped the loss even after it recovered a bit. Later, I bought Micron at 120, got trapped, and sold when I broke even. My timing was off on everything. Back then, even with a tiny position, I was constantly worried. I didn't know how to buy on margin at all, my position was capped at just twenty or thirty thousand dollars, and I'd cry and wail over a loss of a few hundred. I have to say, after more than a year of this grind, I've grown (but I really didn't want this kind of growth)...
