Three months later, the polyurethane raw material MDI has once again triggered a concentrated price increase. On February 25th, BASF announced an increase in MDI product prices in the ASEAN region, with an increase of $200 per ton. The company stated that the price adjustment is mainly due to the continuous rise in raw material costs. The previous week, Hunstman had raised the price of MDI products in the U.S. market by $260 per ton, and Covestro also announced an increase of $220 per ton for MDI series products in North America starting March 1st
