Dr. Guoyao Xia, also known as Gavin, Ph.D., joined the Group as Non-Executive Director of Abbisko Shanghai on July 1, 2016. He had served as Director of Abbisko Cayman Ltd. since October 22, 2018 and had served as its Non-Executive Director since June 10, 2021 until June 19, 2023. Dr. Xia serves as Venture Partner at Lilly Asia Ventures. He joined Lilly Asia Ventures in 2015. Prior joining Lilly Asia Ventures, he worked at Navigant Consulting and Monitor Group. Since August 2019, he has served as a director of ClinChoice Medical Development Limited. Dr. Xiais Co-Founder, Chairman of Alebund Pharmaceuticals (Jiangsu) Limited and serves as its Director since May 20, 2021 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer since November 2018 and serves as an Executive Director since October 2025. Dr. Xia has served clients in pharmaceutical, medical device, hospital and chemical industries in both US and Asia markets, including global leading healthcare companies and China state owned enterprises. He co-founded Northlake Biosciences. Dr. Xia served as a director of Shanghai Kun Yuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. from August 2016 to February 2021. He has served as a director of Alebund Biotech Inc., since November 2019 and has also served as its chief executive officer since October 2019. He also served as a director of Jacobio Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. from July 2018 to March 2020. Dr. Xia received a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from University of Chicago in the United States in June 2007 and a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Economics from Peking University in the PRC in July 2001.
