04:49 AM EDT, 05/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL), BP (BP), PT Perusahaan Gas Negara, and PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia signed agreements with Japan's Inpex for liquified natural gas offtake from the Abadi LNG Project at the Masela Block in offshore Indonesia, Inpex said Wednesday.Inpex also reached a deal in principle with PT Pupuk Indonesia regarding pipeline natural gas supply from the Abadi LNG Project, the company said. Shell, BP Sign LNG Supply Deals in Indonesia With Inpex

Inpex Corporation is set to acquire PetroChina's 10–10.67% stake in the Browse gas fields off Western Australia, pending regulatory approvals and consent from joint venture partners. Additionally, Inpex has signed a gas sales agreement for the Abadi LNG project with Indonesian state firms, with a capacity of approximately 1,200 mmscfd and 250 mmscfd spare.
