Genetic Technologies ( (AU:GTG) ) has shared an announcement.

Genetic Technologies Limited has announced that its depositary, Bank of New York Mellon, will terminate the company’s Level 1 American Depositary Receipt facility, which currently covers about 4.2 million ADRs, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on 9 September 2026. Each ADR represents thirty ordinary shares, and holders will retain the right to surrender their ADRs for the underlying Australian-listed shares until at least 13 September 2027, subject to specified fees and applicable taxes.

After that date, the depositary may attempt to sell any remaining underlying ordinary shares and distribute net proceeds to holders who surrender their ADRs, though the company notes that its ordinary shares are currently suspended from trading on the ASX and there is no expectation that the depositary will be able to realise value from such sales. The move effectively winds down Genetic Technologies’ U.S. depositary program and further limits liquidity options for ADR investors, while the status of the company’s issued ordinary shares remains formally unchanged but constrained by the ongoing trading suspension.
