BSE Rises After RBI Decision but Points to Weekly Decline
The BSE Sensex rose 0.4% to 85,569 after the RBI cut repo rates and revised GDP and inflation forecasts. The central bank increased GDP growth forecast to 7.3% for FY2025/26 and lowered inflation to 2.0%. The Nifty 50 also climbed 0.4%. Despite gains, the index is set for a 0.2% weekly decline, its first in four weeks. Top gainers included Bajaj Finance, Infosys, and HCL Tech.
