Ultrashort 7-10 year Treasury declares quarterly distribution of $0.1077

The 10-year Treasury yield increased by 0.056 percentage points to 4.390%, marking the second highest yield this year. It has risen in four of the last five trading days and is 0.205 percentage points below its 52-week high of 4.595%. Year-to-date, the yield is up 0.237 percentage points, while month-to-date, it has increased by 0.428 percentage points. The price fell by 14/32 to 97 29/32.

Ten-Year Yield Skyrockets To Nearly Eight-Month Closing High

The Treasury Department announced that its recent auction of $39 billion in ten-year notes attracted below average demand, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.45, compared to the previous month's 2.39. The high yield for the ten-year notes was 4.177 percent. This follows a similar trend in the auction of $58 billion in three-year notes, which also saw below average demand. The results for the thirty-year bonds auction are expected to be announced soon.
