The high-tech industry research organization TrendForce released its latest memory price survey, predicting that the DRAM market will continue to face a severe overall supply shortage in the third quarter of 2026. Nevertheless, the slowdown in consumer application demand and the high base effect will slightly ease the rate of increase, with DRAM contract prices expected to rise by +13 to 18% quarter-on-quarter. For NAND Flash, TrendForce believes that demand driven by AI inference and large-scale data center construction will continue to drive most of the demand. However, as contract prices are already at historical highs and consumer market demand slows, customers' ability to absorb further price increases has reached its limit. Therefore, TrendForce forecasts that NAND Flash contract prices will rise by +10 to 15%, with the rate of increase significantly narrowing compared to previous quarters
