👉 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:

➤ 𝐍𝐮𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 awarded 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧 a contract to finalize HIPS design development.

➤ Contract covers three key 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and control protection systems.

➤ Systems include the 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 and reactor safety functions.

➤ Scope includes the 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞 and 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 systems.

➤ Contract also includes 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 and Validation services.

➤ NuScale's SMR remains the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 NRC-approved small modular reactor design.

➤ Certain components for 𝟏𝟐 NuScale power modules are already in production.

➤ Each NuScale Power Module can generate up to 𝟕𝟕 𝐌𝐖 of electricity.

➤ A single NuScale plant can support up to 𝟏𝟐 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 from one control room.

➤ Paragon's HIPS platform received 𝐍𝐑𝐂 approval in 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕.

👉 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐈𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:

➤ Advances commercialization of NuScale's 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 technology.

➤ Strengthens development of critical 𝐧𝐮𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 and protection systems.

➤ Supports progress toward future 𝐒𝐌𝐑 deployment and power generation projects.
