STI up 0.3%, amid mixed showing by Singapore shares
Singapore shares showed mixed results on Tuesday, with the STI rising 0.3% to 4,537.96 points, while the iEdge Singapore Next 50 Index fell 0.5% to 1,441.16 points. Wilmar International dropped 1.5% amid restructuring announcements, and Raffles Education fell 4.3% after selling a corporate building. Hoe Leong was the most active counter. LGT noted expectations for a US Federal Reserve rate cut boosted some Asian indexes.
