$SpaceX(SPCX.US)
SpaceX just released its first earnings report since its IPO, and the numbers are massive! Here is what retail investors need to know:
The Big Wins:
1️⃣ Revenue hit $7.81 billion, up a staggering 92% year-over-year.
2️⃣ Starlink connectivity revenue rose 66%, with subscribers doubling to 12 million globally.
3️⃣ AI segment revenue skyrocketed roughly 250% to $2.56 billion, fueled by $14.1 billion in new contracted sales.
4️⃣ Net loss was cut nearly in half to $541 million, compared to $1.0 billion last year.🙄
🥹 Why the Stock Dipped Post-Market:
Despite the strong growth, shares slipped about 6-8% due to a massive spike in Capital Expenditure.
SpaceX spent $18.37 billion this quarter versus $2.8 billion last year, with $15.8 billion of that poured into AI compute and orbital data centers.
The Bottom Line:
SpaceX holds a $100 billion cash war chest and a $47.5 billion order backlog. It is spending aggressively to lead in both space and AI now.
👀 Keep an eye on:
The first post-IPO insider lock-up expires tomorrow, August 6.
