When I was young, one of my earliest National Day memories was decorating my bicycle with two small Singapore flags—one tied to the front and another at the back. I would happily ride around the neighbourhood feeling incredibly proud, as if I was part of the National Day Parade myself. 😄
I still remember how the flags fluttered in the wind as I cycled. It was such a simple thing, but back then it made National Day feel so special. I didn't think much about what it meant at the time—I just knew I loved seeing the red and white everywhere and wanted to show my excitement too.
Looking back now, it's funny how those small moments stay with us more than the fireworks or performances. Every time National Day comes around, that childhood memory of riding my bicycle with those little flags still brings a smile to my face. Happy National Day, Singapore! 🇸🇬
