$NVIDIA(NVDA.US) Nvidia has revised its plans to support a proposed OpenAI data center project in Ohio and is expected to initially guarantee less than US$120 billion, down from the US$250 billion previously discussed. Nvidia and OpenAI are nearing an agreement, with the chipmaker expected to provide a financial backstop only for the first phase of the project. The change was made after investors raised concerns about Nvidia’s risk exposure tied to large financing commitments. That came after Nvidia on Monday last week partnered with six major financial institutions to launch compute financing platforms aimed at raising over US$500 billion in third-party capital for artificial intelligence infrastructure. Separately, Nvidia on Friday disclosed a nearly US$21 billion stake in Elon Musk’s SpaceX and a US$30 billion investment in Intel. This signals to investors a strategical shift in Nvidia's investment, spreading out the risks through multiple partnerships instead of banking everything on a company that may or may not be successful eventually. @Captain's Treasure
