The board of Wafer Works, the silicon wafer maker, approved NT$15.95 billion in capex to expand production, media report, with capacity to rise to 100,000 wafers per month by mid-2027. The firm mainly produces silicon wafers, does Gallium Nitride (GaN), and is boosting production of epitaxial wafers for CIS. #semiconductors
