🚀 Oracle Raises US$20 Billion: The AI Infrastructure Race Heats Up
Oracle has made a major move that is getting the whole tech industry talking. The company is raising a total of US$20 billion.
This includes a US$10 billion share sale priced at an 11 percent discount, plus a separate US$10 billion bond issue.
The immediate reaction was a drop in share price. Dilution from the new shares is estimated between 2.5 percent and 3 percent. The stock fell 8.76 percent to US$119.22.
This big fund raising has given Oracle the serious firepower for its cloud and AI push. Capital spending for fiscal 2026 is set to reach US$55.7 billion.
New equity helps pay for expansion while the company already carries more than US$125 billion in debt.
🔷What does this mean for the competitive picture?
