Fed's Collins: If data develops as expected, rate cuts will soon be possible

The July employment report released last Friday was indeed weaker than many had expected, but one should not overly emphasize one or two employment reports. A series of other indicators indicate that the labor market conditions are relatively healthy and consistent with the inflation target. Overall, the economy is growing, and the pace of economic growth should be able to maintain a stable labor market
