IDC: In the first three quarters, the global wearable device market shipped 140 million units, with China becoming the largest market

According to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC), the global wearable device market shipped 140 million units in the first three quarters of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 1.0%. The shipment volume in the Chinese market was 45.76 million units, a year-on-year increase of 20.1%, making it the largest market. The smartwatch and wristband markets shipped 110 million units and 26.82 million units, respectively, both showing varying degrees of growth. IDC expects that the shipment volume of the Chinese wearable market will reach 62.48 million units by 2025.
