The French stock index's gains significantly narrowed by the end of the trading day, with component stock Renault rising about 1.8% to rank second, and chip stock STMicroelectronics NV rising over 1%

The French CAC 40 index closed up 0.14%, at 7282.69 points. One hour before the trading ended at 21:00 Beijing time (early), the market took a sharp turn downwards. Component stock Eurofins Scientific rose 1.85%, Renault and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield rose 1.77% to rank second, STMicroelectronics rose 1.07% to rank sixth, L'Oréal rose 0.53% to perform well, while Société Générale closed down 0.45% to rank third in decline, Kering fell 0.59%, and Crédit Agricole fell 0.88%
