In 2024, 89% of new car sales in Norway will be electric vehicles

According to the latest data released on Thursday by the Norwegian Road Federation (OFV), nearly 90% (88.9%) of new passenger cars sold in Norway in 2024 will be electric vehicles, a significant increase from 82.4% in 2023. The best-selling car is the Tesla Model Y, followed closely by the Tesla Model 3, Volvo EX30, Volkswagen ID.4, and Toyota bZ4X. Christina Bu, president of the Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association, stated that electric vehicle sales in Norway are expected to reach a new high in 2025
