L'Oréal's fourth-quarter sales growth fell short of expectations, and the sales decline in North Asia was not as significant as market concerns suggested

L'Oréal's fourth-quarter sales reached €11.08 billion, while analysts expected €10.91 billion.

Same-store sales grew by 2.5% in the fourth quarter, with analysts expecting a growth of 3.83%.

LFL sales of consumer products grew by 2.7% in the fourth quarter, while analysts expected a growth of 2.38%.

Sales of L’Oreal Luxe (high-end cosmetics division) grew by 1% in the fourth quarter, with analysts expecting a growth of 4.79%.

Derm. Beauty LFL sales grew by 5% in the fourth quarter, while analysts expected a growth of 3.45%.

Same-store sales in North Asia declined by 3.6% in the fourth quarter, with analysts expecting a decline of 5.21%.

Same-store sales in North America grew by 1.4%, while analysts expected a growth of 4.65%.

The annual operating profit was €8.69 billion, with analysts expecting €8.65 billion.

L'Oréal ADR gave back earlier gains and turned to a decline of 2.3%
