The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development recently announced that in 2024, 58,000 old urban residential communities will be newly constructed and renovated nationwide, exceeding the annual target of 54,000. According to statistical reports from various regions, 11 areas including Beijing, Henan, and Guangxi have exceeded their plans. This year, China will plan and implement a number of urban renewal and renovation projects, fully completing the renovation tasks for old urban residential communities built before the end of 2000, and continuously implementing livelihood projects and development projects such as complete community construction, renovation and utilization of existing buildings, and renewal and renovation of old neighborhoods
