Today, reporters learned from Qinghai Airport Co., Ltd. that China's independently developed large amphibious aircraft AG600 "Kunlong" recently completed high plateau test flight missions at Qinghai Huatuogou Airport. Plateau airports refer to airports with an elevation above 1,500 meters, with those between 1,500 and 2,438 meters classified as general plateau airports, and those above 2,438 meters classified as high plateau airports. The thin air, complex terrain, and variable weather conditions at plateau airports impose higher requirements on aircraft performance and operational support capabilities. The test flight took place at Qinghai Huatuogou Airport, which is over 2,900 meters above sea level and located in the northwestern part of the Qaidam Basin. This test flight of the AG600 "Kunlong" covered typical operational scenarios at high plateau airports, systematically verifying the aircraft's takeoff performance, climb performance, landing performance, and more under complex weather conditions, while also marking a breakthrough for China's aviation industry in the fields of complex weather and plateau operations
