Yongan Forestry's wholly-owned subsidiary Zhonglin (Putian) Forestry Development Co., Ltd. plans to implement a national reserve forest construction project (Phase I) in Putian City, Fujian Province, covering an area of 150,000 acres, with an estimated total investment of 154 million yuan. The project is divided into a construction period of 8 years and an operational period of 22 years, with a projected timber production of 864,500 m3 at the end of the construction period and an annual carbon storage of 7,000 t. This project will optimize the company's forest resource structure, promote resource increment and operational efficiency, and support the company's "forest-board integration" strategy
According to the announcement from Yong'an Forestry (000663.SZ), its wholly-owned subsidiary Zhonglin (Putian) Forestry Development Co., Ltd. plans to carry out the national reserve forest project in Putian City, Fujian Province, with a planned construction scale of 150,000 acres, and will advance the project in phases based on actual conditions. The company's board of directors has approved the proposal for the construction project of the national reserve forest in Putian, Fujian (Phase I).
The calculation period for the Fujian Putian national reserve forest construction project (Phase I) is 30 years, including an 8-year construction period from 2025 to 2032, and a 22-year operational period from 2033 to 2054. The estimated total investment for the project is 154 million yuan. The construction scale for Phase I is 25,100 acres, with a short-cycle small-diameter timber raw material forest area of 14,992 acres at the end of the construction period, a medium-cycle medium-diameter timber forest area of 3,476 acres, a medium-long cycle large-diameter timber forest area of 2,736 acres, and a medium-long cycle precious tree species mixed forest area of 3,906 acres; it can produce 864,500 m3 of timber, with a reserve of standing timber volume of 161,500 m3 at the end of the construction period, and an annual carbon storage of 7,000 tons.
The announcement stated that by promoting the implementation of the national reserve forest project to high standards, the company can adjust its existing forest resource structure, continuously strengthen its green forestry foundation, effectively promote resource increment, operational efficiency, and project revenue, optimize resource allocation, and also provide solid resource support for the company's "forest-board integration" strategic layout
