Recently, the 13.53-meter × 8.438-meter pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine independently developed by STEC successfully passed acceptance and was officially launched. This equipment is the world's first pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine, capable of switching between the two "modes" of shield tunneling and pipe jacking, enabling the integrated construction of rectangular pipe jacking tunnels and shield tunnels without intermediate shafts. After the pipe jacking/shield tunneling integrated machine is launched, it will be applied to the construction of the return line behind the Dongjing Station of the Shanghai Metro Line 12 west extension project
