
BE ENVIRONMENT: Bidding for the Hong Kong I·PARK 2 Project

BE ENVIRONMENT announced the establishment of a joint venture with two construction companies and has submitted a bid for the Hong Kong government's Integrated Waste Management Facilities Phase 2 contract. The I·PARK 2 project aims to support waste reduction and recycling measures in Hong Kong, contributing to the goals of zero landfill by 2035 and carbon neutrality by 2050. The contract includes design, construction, and a 15-year operation and maintenance period, expected to commence in early 2026
According to the announcement from BE ENVIRONMENT (00154), the company established a non-legal entity joint venture with two construction companies from mainland China and Hong Kong on October 10, 2025. The joint venture has submitted a bid for the Phase II contract of the Comprehensive Waste Management Facility issued by the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (Contract No. EP/SP/312/24).
I·PARK 2 promotes various waste reduction and recycling measures by the Hong Kong government, contributing to the goals of "zero landfill" and carbon neutrality outlined in the "Hong Kong Waste Blueprint 2035" and "Hong Kong Climate Action Blueprint 2050." The scope of the contract includes the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of I·PARK 2, located at the Central Ash Lagoon in Tuen Mun, with an incineration facility designed to handle 6,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day. The contract is expected to commence in early 2026 and includes a 15-year operation and maintenance service in addition to the design and construction works
