American Airlines Group (AAL) expects to perform strongly in the first quarter of 2026 after experiencing a "substantial" hit from a government shutdown. According to CEO Robert Isom, first-quarter bookings look strong, and flight demand has remained resilient. The airline will consider opportunities to acquire aircraft, airport gates, or other assets, and will focus on improving its products and increasing premium services
