
January 16th Midday Review: The Shanghai Composite Index opened high but closed low, falling 0.22%. Robotics and power grid equipment stocks performed strongly against the trend
The market opened higher in the morning but retreated, with the three major indices slightly rising. Robot concept stocks strengthened, with companies like Henggong Precision and Founder Motor hitting the daily limit. Power grid equipment stocks collectively surged, with SIEYUAN and IESLAB also reaching the daily limit. Semiconductor chip stocks continued their strong performance, with NINGBO KANGQIANG achieving two consecutive limits and Baiwei Storage rising over 10% to reach a new high. On the downside, AI application stocks collectively adjusted, with companies like Gravity Media and Vision China hitting the daily limit. More stocks fell than rose, with about 3,100 stocks in the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets showing losses, and a total transaction volume of 2.01 trillion in the morning session.
