Brazilian regulators approve L'Oréal's acquisition of Kering Group's beauty business
According to the Brazilian official gazette and the website of Brazil's antitrust regulatory agency, the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade), the supervisory department under Cade has unconditionally approved the transaction between L'Oréal and Kering Group. On October 20th last year, L'Oréal Group and Kering Group jointly announced that they would establish a long-term strategic partnership in the luxury beauty and health sectors. The two companies stated in a press release that the agreement includes the sale of the Creed brand, beauty and fragrance licensing for Kering's iconic fashion houses, as well as an exclusive joint venture project established by both parties to explore business opportunities in the field of health and longevity. The total value of the agreement is €4 billion, and the transaction is expected to be completed in cash in the first half of 2026. (Jiemian)
