MSCI Emerging Markets Stock Index rose 1%, reaching a historic high, with Asian and Latin American stock markets rising. Component stock Samsung Electronics hit a historic high, driving the Korean stock index to break the psychological barrier of 5,000 points for the first time. The MSCI Latin America Stock Index rose 1.9%, reaching its highest level since April 2018; the Latin America/Materials Index has surged 17% so far in 2026, while a broader stock index has also risen 12% during the same period. The MSCI Emerging Markets Currency Index rose 0.15%
