<div id="readability-page-1">The owners’ committee of a Hong Kong private housing estate has said it is “very concerned” after a large section of the ceiling collapsed into an indoor swimming pool, while the MTR Corporation, which manages the property, said a “detailed investigation” was under way to identify the cause. In a notice issued to residents of Lake Silver in Ma On Shan, the estate’s customer service centre said it had been notified by the clubhouse contractor that “material” had fallen from the ceiling of the pool. Images showed a large piece of debris partially submerged in the pool. A resident said the pool was closed at the time of the roof collapse. The notice said the event had occurred on Saturday. “Fortunately, no one was injured, and the indoor swimming pool is currently closed for a detailed inspection,” the customer service centre said. “[The] customer service centre and the owners’ committee are very concerned about this incident.”  It added that the owners’ committee had written to the developer, Sino Land, clubhouse service contractor and the MTR Corp for “understanding the reasons and addressing these matters as soon as possible”. In reply to queries from the South China Morning Post, the MTR Corp said that it was “highly concerned” about the incident. “A detailed investigation is under way to identify the cause, followed by necessary follow-up and repair work,” it said.  Another image shared with the SCMP from the same estate shows a cracked ceiling in a lift lobby of one of the residential towers, with a wooden support propping it up. The SCMP has contacted the MTR Corp about the other ceiling damage. The SCMP has approached Sino Land for comment.</div>
