Passenger throughput at major airports is steadily increasing, with capacity on many popular travel and return routes being intensified, reflecting the strong travel demand during the Spring Festival holiday. Data from the comprehensive transportation Spring Festival transportation work team shows that on February 22, 2026 (the sixth day of the first lunar month), the civil aviation passenger volume reached 2.644 million, a month-on-month increase of 1.4%, and a year-on-year increase of 6.8% compared to the same period in the 2025 Spring Festival transportation. In addition, airports in cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou Baiyun, Shenzhen, and Xiamen have continuously set historical records for single-day passenger flow.
