Economist Song Yu joins UBS Securities
According to Wall Street News, Song Yu has recently joined UBS Securities as the Chief China Economist. He served as the Chief China Economist and Chief Representative of the Beijing Office at BlackRock from 2020 to 2025. Previously, he worked for 16 years at Goldman Sachs and its Chinese subsidiary GaoHua Securities, where he held the position of Chief China Economist before leaving. Song Yu holds a master's degree from the University of Oxford and a bachelor's degree from the University of Edinburgh. He is also a visiting lecturer in economics at Tsinghua University.
