COSCO SHIPPING stated that it is closely monitoring the developments in the Middle East situation and is evaluating all follow-up disposal plans for cargo on board
COSCO SHIPPING has issued a service notice stating that, in light of the ongoing evolution of the security situation in the Middle East and the restrictions faced by maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, COSCO SHIPPING Lines is closely monitoring the developments in the region and maintaining close communication with relevant authorities and security agencies. The company has provided the following guidance regarding the current situation of vessels and cargo: Vessels that have entered the Persian Gulf should, under safe conditions, complete their scheduled port calls and operations, and then either drift or anchor in safe waters. For vessels heading towards the Persian Gulf, we have notified the relevant vessels to pay attention to navigation safety, either by reducing speed, heading to safe waters, or proceeding to designated sheltered anchorages awaiting further notice. We are assessing all follow-up disposal plans for cargo on board (including possible alternative discharge ports) and will strictly adhere to the relevant provisions in our bill of lading terms and conditions
