The contraction of industry supply combined with an increase in concentration has led to a 5%-10% price increase in waterproof materials
According to grassroots research by brokerages, the leading waterproof materials company has issued a price increase notice, stating that the prices of asphalt-based rolls and asphalt-based coating products will rise by 5% to 10%. Guotai Junan Securities believes that after experiencing credit risks related to accounts receivable and a relatively rapid decline in both volume and price, waterproofing has become the most severely cleared sub-industry in consumer building materials in recent years, with increased concentration potentially leading to price recovery. The attempt for price recovery in 2026 is expected to continue, with a solid foundation for profit recovery established at the beginning of the year for asphalt. (Shanghai Securities Journal)
