According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources, China's new round of strategic actions for breakthroughs in mineral exploration has yielded new results. In the Maoniuping mining area of Mianning County, Sichuan Province, China has discovered the world's second-largest light rare earth mineral deposit. It is reported that during the verification and exploration project for rare earth mineral reserves in the Maoniuping mining area of Mianning County, Sichuan, new resource reserves of 9.6656 million tons of rare earth oxides were discovered. This represents an increase of over 300% and makes it the second-largest in reserves among all currently operating rare earth mines globally.
